The final trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes arrived today, and I must say this trailer gave me goosebumps. The theme of the inherent nature of both man and animal seems to be omnipresent here, and the trailer seems to point out that we are not so different from our animal counterparts. Once again the CGI looks amazing. I wonder if this is the film where we will see an actor get nominated for playing a CGI character. I thought Andy Serkis should have been nominated for his work in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, maybe he can get nominated for Apes instead. Enjoy:

Episode VII news

It seems as if there are a lot of rumors swirling around about Episode VII, from what I can surmise based off rumors reported on dark horizons, it seems as if there will be a group of villains that hunt down Jedi. It seems as if that is what Luke has been spending the better part of thirty years hunting. Whether or not these rumors are true remains to be seen, but if they are, it sounds like a promising start to a new trilogy.

Video Games: The Movie

I came across this trailer recently, and it struck me as something that I definitely wanted to see since video games have been such a huge part of my life. It’s always interesting when I talk with non-gamers about my love for games. For me, it’s a form of competition often times, or it’s an escape into another world, much like books are for me. Video games give us the ability to take control of a fictional character and experience an adventure that we could not duplicate in our own lives. Or they let us play sports at a level that we might never achieve in our lives. Either way, my love for gaming continues to grow. Enjoy the trailer:

The Expendables 3

It looks like they are at it again, finally the full trailer for The Expendables 3, has been released. I thought that the first two films were incredibly fun, and a throwback to those late 80’s, early 90’s action films which you could turn your brain off and watch manly men blow stuff up.
