The good people at Treyarch have released the trailer for their upcoming Black Ops III. The trailer, which is set to Rolling Stone’s “Paint it Black”, boasts some futuristic enhancements to soldiers. While the trailer looks incredibly smooth, the question remains, will it be original or simply more of the same? Decide for yourself when you view the trailer below:
After weeks of hinting and blurred images, the first image of Jared Leto as the Joker has been revealed. I must say, I am quite impressed. From the silver teeth to the tattoos, I think the filmmakers have nailed the look. Hopefully The Suicide Squad will be up to par. Judge for yourself below:
In a week filled with major trailer debuts, one more has arrived. After releasing a teaser recently, the full Fantastic Four trailer arrived today. The trailer shows a different origin story than its predecessor; instead of going into space and receiving their power, the young heroes will use interdimensional travel and receive their power. One of the better facets of the trailer is the new look of the thing. I am going to reserve judgement for this film until I see a second trailer. In the meantime, judge for yourself below.
In the wake of being unfortunately leaked this morning, Warner Brothers has officially released a high definition Batman v Superman trailer, and in my opinion, it does not disappoint. It is quite dark, and explores the aftermath of the world realizing that Superman, a being of enormous power exists among them. The question emerges of whether he should be worshipped or shunned. We are given glimpses of Bruce Wayne and shown a quick shot of the Batmobile and finally Batman in the suit that he will use to fight Superman. I do like the voice that Batman uses, although it is clear that it has been digitally altered. Decide for your self below.
After weeks of speculation, the new teaser for Episode VII was debuted before a packed auditorium in Anaheim today at the Star Wars celebration; let me say it did not disappoint. One of the things that was immediately noticeable was the inclusion of a real environment. Gone are the completely CGI environments of Episodes 1,2, & 3. They have been replaced with real people interacting with real things, which gives the film a sense of gravity. In other words, yes, the audience understands what they are seeing isn’t real, but at least they have tangible things exploding and tangible items that actors are interacting with. This gives the audience something they can relate to. Unlike episodes 1,2,&3 where you knew you were watching something fake and the environment looked fake. It simply did not allow for the audience to suspend belief.
That being said, this trailer looks incredible. From the shots of X-Wing flying to the familiar faces and voices, it brought back a sense of nostalgia that George Lucas nearly destroyed. Of course the trailer brings up a couple of key questions: Why does Luke say that his father “has” the force instead of “had”? Who is Luke talking to in the trailer? My guess is his son. And for those of you who are video game fans, why does Kylo Ren’s (the bad guy) mask resemble so strongly Darth Revan’s from Knights of the Old Republic? I guess we will have to wait until December to find out. You can view the trailer for yourself below.
