Along with Captain America: Civil War, the other trailer that really stood out to me was that of X-men: Apocalypse. Continuing the trend of strong entries since X-Men: First Class, the X-men now face off against the (arguably) most powerful mutant in the universe, Apocalypse. As the story goes, Apocalypse was the first mutant from which all other mutants came. He also has the power to manipulate molecular matter in the comics, which essentially makes him pretty much unstoppable. If that wasn’t enough, he also enlists the help of four “protectors” usually referred to as the four horsemen. We see all four of them in action during the trailer; in fact the shot that many of us die-hards have been waiting for is shown. That, of course, is Olivia Munn as Psylocke utilizing her famous blade made completely from psychic energy. It looks like this will be a fitting conclusion to the current trilogy of X-men films. One can only hope that it does not go the route of X-men: The Last Stand. Decide for yourself after you view below:
