The Last of Us: Part II

Another highly anticipated game has been announced recently.  After much speculation Sony officially announced the sequel to the critically acclaimed game The Last of Us.  The original game followed two characters, Joel and Ellie, and their fight for survival in a post-apocalyptical world.  The game was incredibly well-received by both fans and critics alike.  The sequel looks to tell their further adventures beginning three years after the first.  If they can reproduce the quality of the first game, they should have another hit on their hands.  View the trailer for yourself below:

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2 (the teaser)

The good people over a Marvel/Disney have finally released the full teaser-trailer for their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy:  Vol 2.  The trailer reminds us of how funny and exciting the first film really was.  The teaser, which looks like it was taken mostly from one sequence, gets its biggest laughs from Drax and Baby Groot (who I think will be not only the breakout star of this film, but huge when it comes to marketing).  The film looks to be quite the worthy successor to one of the breakout hits of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  You can view the trailer for yourself below:

Two new looks at Zelda

Last night at the 2016 Game Awards, several new trailers were released, including two new looks at  the upcoming release of the new Legend of Zelda game:  Breath of the Wild.  One of them is a trailer, the other is a let’s play video of the game.

The trailer is, in a word, breathtaking.  The world the game designers have done what looks to be an incredible job designing the world of Hyrule.  What makes this game stand out, is the animation style.  It’s quite unconventional and reminiscent of animation we first saw in The Wind Waker.

The Let’s Play gives us a look at the actual gameplay and controls of the upcoming release of the game.  What is interesting to note is that they are playing on the Wii U and not their upcoming system the Switch.  The gameplay does look quite interesting and an improvement to their latest releases.

We will find out how the plays for ourselves when it is released sometime in 2017.  View the videos for yourself below:

The good people at Disney have released what appears to be the final trailer for Star Wars: Rogue One.  The trailer showcases a fair amount of material that we have seen before, but also gives us some longer looks at previously seen scenes as well.  The trailer also gives us a feeling of some of the humor that the movie presents, especially through Alan Tudyk’s robot character.  The movie opens Thursday, December 15th.   View the trailer below for yourself:
