Last week, Disney released what looks to be a much more dramatic teaser for their upcoming release Cars 3. According to the released synopsis, an aging Lightning McQueen is out to prove that he can still race with the younger cars after a major accident. After the failure of Cars 2 (by Pixar’s standards), they are looking to improve the quality of the very profitable franchise. View the trailer for yourself below:
Those in charge of making Stranger Things have released a Barb-centric promo. While none of the action from the upcoming season is seen, It’s still a nice nod to Barb and her memory. The upcoming season premieres on Netflix sometime in 2017. View the teaser for yourself below:
20th Century Fox has released the trailer for Hugh Jackman’s final turn as Wolverine in the upcoming release, Logan. This marks the first time that an X-men film will be rated R; the tone and look of the film appears to be different from any that we have seen in this world. Loosely based on the graphic novel, Old Man Logan, the movie appears to take place in a near future in which all mutants have been eradicated.
The graphic novel deals with Logan and Hawkeye making a road trip across the nation (or what’s left of it). Here, it seems that Hawkeye has been replaced by Professor X (played in a final turn by Patrick Stewart). The trailer is perfectly set to Johnny Cash’s cover of “Hurt”, the song captures the somber mood of a man who has been tortured his entire life and it seems as if saving a young girl may be his last attempt at redemption. This movie may turn out to be something special after all. Decide for yourself after you view below:
After years of rumors and speculation, Nintendo has finally unveiled their first trailer for their upcoming system, the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo, which has a track record of revolutionizing game systems, looks like it has done it again. Their system is fully transportable and docks with its home system. It seems to have the ability to connect wirelessly to other systems as well. The controllers on the side of the handheld device also detach and become almost like smaller versions of their amazing Wii controller. All in all, this system looks like it might be the game changer that Nintendo desperately needs. View for yourself below:
After a teaser released months ago and a behind the scenes featurette released at San Diego’s Comic Con, the good people at Disney have released the official trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I must say, the trailer does not disappoint. It boasts some of the most interesting shots seen in a Star Wars film. A couple of thoughts occurred to me while watching this trailer. One, this will be the first Star Wars film without a lightsaber and the other was that this will be the first Star Wars film that doesn’t feature John Williams scoring it. The movie still looks to be a great adventure, reshoots be damned. View for yourself below:
