The New Mockingjay Trailer

The new trailer for the first part of the final installment of The Hunger Games trilogy was released a couple days ago. The first teaser featured President Snow addressing Panem with Peeta standing beside him. The second teaser started much the same way, but then featured Beete breaking through the transmission to announce the Mockingjay lives. This third teaser gives us our first view of President Coin, and much more of Phillip Seymour Hoffman in his final role of Plutarch Heavensbee. I think that this is going to be one of the rare times when the film may be better than the book, but I guess we shall see.

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies Trailer

New Line has released the trailer for the third and final installment of their Hobbit film. It is an impressive piece set to the song Merry sings in The Return of the King. It also showcases several impressive looking battle scenes from the titular battle. It’s an interesting thought that the next generation will think of this saga as six parts instead of three, since they will have the opportunity to watch the three Hobbit and three Lord of the Rings films back to back. See the trailer for yourself below:

Mad Max: Fury Road

Warner Brothers has released the Comic-Con footage of their upcoming pic Mad Max: Fury Road. The film stars Tom Hardy as the titular Max Rockatansky. The trailer essentially is a series of chase scenes showcasing the post-apocalyptic world the filmmakers have created. It seems as if they have done a very good job of recreating the feel of the original. We will have to wait to see how the finished product comes out.
