Horrible Bosses 2

Horrible Bosses was one of those movies I thought would be a brainless comedy that might be good for a couple of laughs. Instead, it turned out to be incredibly entertaining thanks to some incredible performances, especially by Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Aniston (who is absolutely stunning in the film). Today, the trailer for its sequel was released, and it too looks quite promising. Returners to the film include Jason Bateman, Jason Sudekis, Charlie Day, Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, and of course reprising his role Jamie Foxx. Hopefully the second is a good as the first.

Rave Early Reviews for Apes

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is one of the movies that I am most looking forward to seeing this year. I was pleasantly surprised by the emotional strength and tone of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It took an already established world, and gave it a new and interesting mythos. It seems as though the second film is as good and according to many critics, better than the first. You can read many of their quotes here. Here’s to hoping it’s as good as advertised.

Dracula Untold

The trailer for Dracula Untold was released today, and I have to say that I had no interest in this movie until I saw today’s trailer. It actually looks decently interesting, especially the last bit.

Pacific Rim 2

It appears to be official now; according to AVclub.com Guilermo Del Toro has announced that he will return to make Pacific Rim 2, with many characters from the first film returning. I greatly enjoyed the first Pacific Rim as I had been waiting my entire life to see giant robots face off with giant monsters. Hopefully the second will be as much fun as the first.

Fury

If you are a World War II buff like me, you are going to love this trailer.

The movie follows Brad Pitt as Army Sergeant Wardaddy and his five man tank crew, as they venture behind enemy lines in a deadly mission, which eventually lands them in a 5 vs 300 man battle.

Fury looks like it is going to be another great WWII film, starring Brad Pitt. We all remember Brad’s performance as Lieutenant Aldo Raine in Inglorious Bastards, well he’s back again and this time, without the cheesy southern accent. The trailer also shows a very rugged, mustache wearing Shia Labeouf, who let’s face it, hasn’t done much of anything in Hollywood in quite a while (aside from stealing a screenplay). I’m eager to see what Shia has to offer to the flick.

Some other stars include Logan Lerman (The Percy Jackson and the Olympia’s kid) Michael Pena (End of Watch), and Jon Bernthal (Walking Dead). The movie is set to release in November, right in time for “Oscar Season.”
