According to the Wall Street Journal, AMC theaters are planning a major overhaul of at least 1,800 of their nearly 5,000 screens. Much of their plan includes putting in wider lazy boy type reclining seats. Granted this will reduce the number of seats they can fit in the theater, but the theaters that they have already placed these seats in have seen an increase of 80% in attendance.
