Last month in an interview JJ Abrams remarked that Kylo Ren, the dark shrouded figure from the teasers of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has an obsession with Darth Vader. Today’s release of the toy design of Kylo Ren shows us exactly how far that obsession goes. The helmet very much resembles Vader’s from the curved top to the very back lift of it. Abrams has previously said that the reason that we do not know the last names of our main characters is because it would give away too much about them. Could the reason that Kylo is so interested in Vader be because Vader is his family? I guess we will find out soon enough. In the meantime you can view the picture of the helmet below.
