A Vimeo user has gone ahead and done what we had all wished somebody would do. He has taken the ending of Rogue One and seamlessly intertwined it with the beginning of A New Hope. The user goes by Barre Fong, and we all owe him a debt of gratitude for showing us how much work the filmmakers did in recreating a direct lead-in to A New Hope and making it appear quite seamless. Marvel has finally released a full trailer for their upcoming, much-anticipated sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. Much like the two teasers that came before it, the trailer displays our heroes who find themselves having to save the galaxy again. And once again the trailer is accompanied by an incredible soundtrack. It looks as if Marvel will have another hit on their hands, although one is left wondering how these Guardians will fit into the Infinity War as a whole. You can view the trailer for yourself below:
20th Century Fox has released their first full length trailer for their upcoming Alien: Convenant, which stands as both a sequel to the polarizing Prometheus and a prequel to the original 1979 Alien. The only returning cast member from Prometheus is Michael Fassbender who reprises his role of the android David from the first film.
The trailer definitely shows that the series is attempting to return to its horror roots as opposed to the straight sci-fi feel of its predecessor. The trailer also gives us the first clear view of the Xenomorph, which is a welcome site after a long absence. The film comes out in May and you can view the trailer below:
The final trailer for Kong:Skull Island has been released, and I must say, it wows. After the first two trailers, I was a bit worried that the film was not going to be very good, but this latest trailer has put all those fears to rest. The trailer, which is set to The Animals’ “We Gotta Get out of the Place”, finally showcases some of the real action of the film and more of the comedic elements as well. We finally get to see Kong in action against the monster skull crushers and he definitely looks up to the task. The movie begins on March 10th, and I for one will be there to see the beginning of this shared universe which will also contain Godzilla. View the trailer for yourself below:
Sunday’s Superbowl was arguably the most exciting in history, and cemented Tom Brady’s place as the greatest quarterback of all-time (I know, it pains me to say it). Yet amidst all of the hullabaloo, there was one moment that shined greater than the rest; no, it wasn’t Lady Gaga’s incredible performance (and damn she looked great). It was the teaser that so many had been waiting for: the Stranger Things season two promo.
Stranger Things was a massive phenomenon last year, a show that came out in 2016 that was otherwise the most 80’s show in history. It was the story of the search of a lost boy and the story of a lost girl. It was E.T., mixed with Akira, with a bit of Poltergeist to boot. And after it finished, the audience was hungry for more. Well, we have to wait eight more months to see what happens with the Upside Down, but judging from this trailer, I would say a lot. From the brief glimpses we are shown, it looks like the Gorgon may have been vanquished, but the Upside Down still has a massive part to play. And for those who have no idea what I am talking about, please go to Netflix and watch the first season. For the rest of us, check out the season two teaser below:
