Iron Fist (the trailer)

The final Defender has arrived.  After months of teasing and showing pictures, Netflix has released the full trailer for their upcoming show Iron Fist.  The shows which boasts characters from previous Marvel Netflix shows (Madame Gao, Claire Spencer among others) revolves around Danny Rand who returns from a long time in the far east where he has learned martial arts.  When he returns, he seeks to right his parents’ company from the corruption that is eating away at it.  The trailer looks like both Netflix and Marvel have done it again with a dark, yet interesting look at a B level superhero.  You can view the trailer for yourself below:

The Haunted Mansion story (1969)

When I was five years old or so, during naptime, our amazing kindergarten teacher would play different records for us to listen to as we drifted off to sleep.  One of these records was the Haunted Mansion story.  As time went on though, I could have sworn that I imagined the story of two teenagers who got caught at the fabled house.

Today, as luck would have it, I stumbled across the audio from that recording and was instantly whisked back to that rug floor and that peaceful feeling.  So, here it is, feel free to have a listen:

Episode VIII’s title revealed!

star-wars-the-lastThe good people over at Starwars.com have finally released the title for their much anticipated follow-up to The Force Awakens.  The title is the quite ominous sounding The Last Jedi.  What does this mean though?  Is this a reference to the end of Luke or Rey or some veiled reference to the beginning of some new Jedi order.  Either way, we will find out on December 15th.

Go, Go Power Rangers

After a trailer a couple of months ago, the good people at Liongate have released the full trailer for their upcoming Power Rangers film, and I have to say the kid in me just squealed with delight.  Not only is Bryan Cranston playing Zordon in the film, but we get our first look at their Zords and at Elizabeth Banks’s Rita Repulsa.  All of it looks wonderfully cheesy, but with much better special effects.  This to me looks like the fun movie of the year.  View for yourself below:
