Original Cast Reunites for Alien: Isolation

One of the most anticipated games of the near future is Alien: Isolation, a game that utilizes the technology from the first film, which means that it will be slower and less accurate. Another interesting innovation of this game will be the use of dynamic artificial intelligence controlling the behavior of the Alien itself. In others words the alien’s appearances will not be pre-scripted, so you will not be able to predict its behavior, and it will learn your behavior and adapt to it. This is something that, to my knowledge, has not been done in a game before. Furthermore, 20th Century Fox has just announced via the trailer below that the original cast of the movie (Signourney Weaver, Tom Skeritt, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto, and Veronica Cartwright) will all be lending their voice talents for a DLC (downloaded content) mission that takes place during the time of the first film. It seems as if the makers of this game are putting a lot of money behind it, so let’s hope it works in their favor.

AMC planning reclining chairs

According to the Wall Street Journal, AMC theaters are planning a major overhaul of at least 1,800 of their nearly 5,000 screens. Much of their plan includes putting in wider lazy boy type reclining seats. Granted this will reduce the number of seats they can fit in the theater, but the theaters that they have already placed these seats in have seen an increase of 80% in attendance. I believe that this change could result in AMC becoming the dominant movie chain in the country. You can read the full article for yourself here.
