Ahead of the official trailer release tomorrow at 7am PST, the good people at Bungie have released the teaser for Destiny 2. The trailer features Nathan Fillion’s Cayde-6 character sitting in a bar telling a story to a very disinterested robot, before going off back into battle. We will wait to see if the game looks as if it will fulfill the expectations of so many waiting fans. View the teaser below:
The good people at Sony and Marvel have released the second trailer for their upcoming third incarnation of Spider-man, Spider-Man: Homecoming. This trailer gives us a lot more of Peter Parker’s relationship with Tony Stark, along with giving us a much clearer look at the film’s villain, the Vulture, as well. We also get our views of Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May and Zendaya’s Mary Jane (although quite briefly). Overall though we get a much better feeling of the overall tone of the film, which is a coming of age story set up against the backdrop of high school. This film feels right to me, they seemed to have captured much of the spirit of the comic itself.
After an impressive reel at comic con and five (yes five) different teasers, Warners Brothers finally released the full trailer for their upcoming much anticipated (because it could either save or destroy the DC cinematic universe) Justice League. I must say that the trailer looks mighty impressive. Aside from the major change of having Batman (not Superman as in the comics) lead the league, the trailer looks and feels like those over a DC are on the right track. And more importantly, Aquaman looks like a badass. The trailer features ample shots of all the heroes involved: Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg. This trailer should put many people’s fear of Flash to rest. He looks amazing. And yes, I did recognize that Cyborg looks a little off putting; my guess is that his special effects are not completely finished.
It seems that we see some of the minions of Darkseid in the trailer, which makes sense because we know that Steppenwolf is going to be the villain. For those of you who do not know Steppenwolf is a step or two down from the big boy himself.
Obviously missing from the trailer was Superman, who we last saw put to rest. But the inclusion of Amy Adams’ Lois Lane may imply that he is yet to make an appearance. Perhaps they are saving that for the second trailer. Either way, the film comes out in November, after the release of Wonder Woman, so hopefully DC has begun to find their way.
As has become custom as of late, Warner Brothers has released a teaser for Saturday’s upcoming full Justice League trailer. This teaser (all 15 seconds of it) focuses on Aquaman, before giving us a brief glimpse of the full Justice League as a whole. One of the questions that remains is: when will we see our first look at Superman? Hopefully on Saturday. The other question that remains is: can this movie right the DC ship? We all remember Batman v Superman (a film that I enjoyed) and the mess that was Suicide Squad (which I reviewed here) My guess is that this film and Wonder Woman will begin to set things right. So, to all the naysayers out there, I say to give this film a chance on its own. View the teaser for yourself below:
Update: They have added four new teasers featuring Batman, Flash, Cyborg & Wonder Woman. All are below:
After years of being a successful children’s book series. Dreamworks has brought Captain Underpants to the big screen. Helped by the voice talents of Kevin Hart, Ed Helms and Nick Kroll to name a few, the trailer actually provides some genuine chuckles. Hopefully the film will be a worthy successor to the books which millions have loved. View the trailer below:
