A day before the start of Comic Con the first poster for the third (and final) Hobbit movie has been released. It’s a pretty powerful image of Smaug bearing down on Laketown with only Bard standing prepared to fight.

A Further Look at Star Wars: Rebels

After releasing brief glimpses of their new show, Disney has finally released a full trailer for their upcoming Star Wars show, Rebels. The show takes place between Episodes III & IV, showcasing the birth of the rebellion. It will be the first television show that is considered cannon to the Star Wars universe. In other words, the events that occur within the show officially have occurred within the Star Wars universe. I have mixed feelings on the new show, much like I had mixed feeling on the Clone Wars show. I will watch the show, but I’m hoping that it’s not too kid friendly. Here’s to hoping…

Is The Rock Shazam?

Dwayne Johnson seems to be hinting at the fact that he may be playing the DC superhero, Shazam, in an upcoming film. In an interview with Total Film, he says that he and DC are set to make an announcement very soon. He then goes on to say that the character he will be playing “has the power of Superman” and isn’t Green Lantern. He finishes by saying “Just say the word. That’s all I’m going to say.”

For those of you who are not huge comic book fans. Shazam was a young man by the name of Billy who transformed into Shazam when he uttered the word “Shazam”. It seems as if come Comic-Con time we will see that Dwayne Johnson will be playing that role. The full interview is below along with introduction of the pretty bad 70’s tv show Shazam. Enjoy.

As you can see in the video he makes this announcement standing in front of an X-Wing fighter from the new film.
